About Ron

Hello Friend,

I would like to introduce myself so that you might know something about me and why I write devotionals and produce a radio program to challenge readers to into a deeper faith in Christ Jesus.

Jesus has been the Lord of my life since I was 16.  He called me into His ministry at that point in my life on a beautiful July morning in Clio, Michigan.  I believed that His calling meant that I was to be a pastor.  Yet, prior to studying for the pulpit ministry at Mid-America Bible College in Oklahoma City, OK, I traveled the US, British Isles, and Canada for three years with a drama and music ministry.  After college, I entered the pulpit ministry bi-vocationally for over two years.  The Lord, however, had other plans for me that I would realize as time would move on.  Through good times and bad, He has always been my Helper and Guide, and I have begun to understand that life is really the “God-Ride”.  So I have sat down, buckled in, and held on!  And here I am!  I am a member in good standing with the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers International, have published 7 devotional books, conduct a devotional ministry on the Web, and host a weekday Internet radio broadcast.  God is truly good!

I love the Lord and have tried to live a life that would honor Him in all of my words and actions.  However, I know that I am human.  Like everyone else, I deal with the ordinary trials, temptations and tribulations of daily life. As Paul said, I do not consider myself to have attained the holiness of God.  However, because I have confessed with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in my heart that He was raised from the dead, and have proved publicly these things through baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I have been granted a righteousness in Jesus Christ.  I, just like all of the saints in Christ, am considered a joint-heir with Him, being redeemed, saved and set apart for service in His Kingdom.  But enough of the “churchy” words! Just know this, I want to please God in all I do and walk a life that draws others to Him.  It really is just that simple!

The devotionals that I write began both as a means to encourage a friend named Buddy who was dying of cancer and as a way to remain in faithful personal Bible study and devotion.  Buddy passed away several years ago.  His encouragement is missed, but over a decade later, I’m still writing.

I give the thanks, praise and glory to God for allowing me the opportunity both to walk with Him and to write words and deliver messages designed to encourage others to do the same.  But I would also like to give a big shout out to a wonderful Christian brother named Ed who made this project possible.

And lastly, I would like to dedicate this site to my two beautiful daughters, Sarah and Heather, whose love I treasure deeply.  Also, I dedicate it to my sweet grandson, Blain and precious granddaughter, Blake.

May many of God’s rich blessings come to you as you listen to my program and visit this site.  Read and study the Scriptures far more often, but feel welcomed and encouraged to return to this site and even bookmark it to share it with your loved ones as well.  And don’t forget to listen in weekdays at 8:00am (CT) on www.missionsradio.org.

Your brother in Christ,

I love the positive witness set forth in your writings. As more people see this, they will have an avenue of faith-based encouragement that is very much needed in this culture. More sites like this would be a great improvement over the information that is currently available. Thank you for displaying your faith and belief in such a public forum. May God richly bless you for this.

  6. Hi Ron,
Nice website and devotionals. Enjoyed reading your bio. Clio Michigan? County Line 10? My wife and I are from Battle Creek and have a long-time grade-school friend in Alma.

    Hi Mike,

Yes I’m from Clio, just off of M-57! I know Alma well as I attended a camp meeting every year in St. Louis (the Anderson Church of God camp). It is good to meet another Michigander!

Thanks for the comments on the site. I receive only 150-350 hits per day, but I really don’t advertise it much at this point. So I’d say it’s doing well. Truly, it is a “God thing”…

    Be well and be blessed!
